Hetalia!Boys x Reader: Chapter 101

Your alarm clock wakes you like every morning.

You turn it off and get out of bed energetically. You then undergo your morning procedure, changing into your sports wear in the bathroom and having breakfast in the kitchen.

All the time, (Kitten's name) is by your side, at first sitting on the toilet lid and watching you getting ready and then eating along with you in the kitchen. She also waits for you to open the frontdoor as you are sitting on the ground and putting on your shoes.

„Be patient, kitty.“ you say. „I'll be ready in a tick.“ You stand up, grab your keys and the water bottle from the chest of drawers next to you. „Can't wait to see Lud again, huh? You should be grateful that I urged you to get to know him.“

She mewls.

Giggling slightly, you leave your house, followed by her. „Don't deny it, (Kitten's name). I'm pretty sure you would get along with Lud's dogs. You're already friends with Hanatamago, after all.“ You frown. „Well, she's not really comparable to three big dogs.“ You pause, mumbling: „I should stop talking in public with my cat.“

(Kitten's name) currs.

It's almost as if she is laughing at you.

You open the gate and slip through, pulling it closed behind you. „Good morning, Ludwig.“

No response.

You look around, noting that Ludwig isn't there.
Where on earth is he? You wonder. He is very, very exacting about punctuality. No, he is punctuality itself. Where the hell is he?

(Kitten's name) wrinkles her brow, looking around as well.

„I'm sure he'll be here at any moment.“ you say.

She sits down and starts to clean herself calmly.

You decide to wait and lean against the gate to your house, staring into space. You bother yourself about Ludwig's whereabouts since it is exceptionally unusual for him to be late.

You quickly start worrying.

What if he canceled today's jog but I didn't receive his call or his message? Or worse: What if something happened to him? What if –

Your train of thought derails as soon as you hear someone shouting: „I am awfully sorry, (Name)!“

You blink a few times, your gaze focusing on an approaching figure. „Ludwig?“ you call out, straightening yourself.

The person coming nearer turns out to be, indeed, Ludwig, with his three dogs in tow.

He stops in front of you, bending forward and supporting himself against his knees, breathing somewhat heavily. „Apologies for the delay, (Name).“ he says.

„No worries. Why are your dogs with you?“

„They didn't give me any peace this morning although I took them for a walk already, and my stupid Bruder wouldn't walk the dogs another time. He bolted before I could force him into doing it anyway.“

You chuckle. „That's just like him.“

The dogs tear at their leashes, trying to get closer to (Kitten's name) who hides behind your legs, eyeing them suspiciously. They bark shortly in unison for a few times, causing (Kitten's name) to turn her ears forward and move her tail back and forth.

„Quiet!“ Ludwig snaps, yanking the leashes.

Near-instantly, his three dogs stop barking and bow their heads with set back ears.

„Down!“

They lie down, scenting the air audibly. Berlitz' tongue lolls out of his mouth, and Aster's tail whips to and fro, pounding onto the pavement. Blackie whimpers in gleeful anticipation.

„Is it okay if (Kitten's name) comes closer to them?“ you ask Ludwig.

After a moment's hesitation, he nods, tightening his grip on the leashes. „Yes. I make sure that they won't harm her.“
